We set up clinic today in Usulutan El Salvador. Clinic location is on a military base. The people in El Salvador have been very helpful. Our hotel is about 1 hour away from clinic location.
When we arrived at the base over 100 volunteers greeted us - some as translators some for crowd control and others as just friends.
After clinic was set up we had a training session and orientation. Its truly amazing that people from 4 different countries , languages, and cultures can come together so quickly.
We start out as strangers and will be as close as family in two weeks time.
After set up we attended a formal welcoming ceremony at the town square in Usulutan on the steps of the Catholic church.
In attendance were over 100 people which were 3 different lions clubs , military band, local city officials , onesight team and local volunteers.
Not only did they sing their National Anthem, but the military band played the Star Spangled Banner on out behalf. It was a beautiful gesture which brought tears to many's eyes.
Bye for now from your roving reporters in El Salvador.
We see our first patients tomorrow !

Glad to hear that the Europeans were able to get past the ash induced air travel restrictions and join the team. Looking forward to getting more updates. I do understand that Internet connections are difficult to come by outside clinic hours. Keep up the great work!
